LRB and earSnake in Philadelphia Weekly

Wednesday, August 13, 2008
Lillie Ruth Bussey got a great writeup in today's Philadelphia Weekly. The article praises her highly anticipated album Truthful Little Ditties which comes out next Tuesday (8/19).

"you’d have to be some sort of monster not to enjoy such warm-hearted, homespun tunes..."

A reminder the Truthful Little Ditties release party is in one week. Don't sleep, nap, be lazy, say "next time" or "that's lame". Come to this! Like the article says, "it’s a rare chance to see three bands (and a DJ) that sound completely different from each other but have bonded —thanks to earSnake—in the midst of our city’s increasingly crowded music scene."

Release Party

Tuesday, August 05, 2008
We're getting very excited over here at the Snake Nest for our next two releases and the release party that will follow.

In exactly two weeks (Aug 19), we'll be putting out Lillie Ruth Bussey's gorgeous new full length album Truthful Little Ditties. Also dropping that day will be a new single from Gemini Wolf. We're still not sure which is the A-side and which is the B-side, but the tracks are "Wick Effect" and "Formation". Those who were able to catch the duo performance back in May at Johnny Brenda's heard the songs in their infant stage. Well now the songs are in the bratty "tween" stage where they want to get a cell phone and think the whole world is out to get them!

Anywho, we're throwing an earSnake bash for the release at Silk City at 5th and Spring Garden on Wednesday August 20 (flyer to the left). earSnakers Zelda Pinwheel and DJ Bilwa are in tow as well.

Until then, folks in Carolina can catch some Gemini Wolf duo action at Bull City HQ in Durham on Saturday night. Should be a scene, man.

our Diamonds Review

Thursday, July 31, 2008
Zelda Pinwheel's, our Diamonds so quiet got a nice review in the uber-hip Philly magazine, two one five.

There’s a shoegaze haze over much of the music, and at their most accessible Zelda Pinwheel evoke the noisier end of Yo La Tengo (or the quieter end of Sonic Youth)
Dats nice!
